Wade has done a lot for Senegal, but democracy is the voice of the people. If the population no longer wants you, the best thing is to step down and to let someone else take the power. Maybe if people recognize your work later, they might give you another important post in the government but trying to impose oneself in the system is not the right way.
President Wade is the major subject of talk in most Africans, and in all west African medias. This should be enough for me to step down. He is over 80 years old. Stress is the least thing to look for. Everyone likes power and wealth, but one has to know when to let go. Death will strip everything away anyway.
So, if you agree, and if you are Senegalese, Do not vote for Wade in 2012
